About
“The Earth is Art, The Photographer is only a Witness.”
― Yann Arthus-Bertrand
I am a photographer/witness. A “promising amateur photographer “ – according to “The 5 Levels of the Amateur Photographer”– but an “expert witness”, according to Me, Myself and I.
A witness has knowledge of a moment from personal observation or experience; my camera and I are currently enjoying the joy of many moments of observation and are overwhelmed: By Beauty. By the Everyday Moments we tend to overlook.
You wouldn’t want to take a walk with me as I tend to stop to observe every detail of every moment: Aspen leaves at their peak. Bees in flight. Daffodils in bloom. Lost horseshoes. Puppy tails . . .
I’m a real pain. I just can’t help myself.
“Everyday
I see or hear
something
that more or less
kills me
with delight,
that leaves me
like a needle
in the haystack
of light.
It was what I was born for —
to look, to listen,
to lose myself
inside this soft world —
to instruct myself
over and over
in joy,
and acclamation.
Nor am I talking
about the exceptional,
the fearful, the dreadful,
the very extravagant —
but of the ordinary,
the common, the very drab,
the daily presentations.
Oh, good scholar,
I say to myself,
how can you help
but grow wise
with such teachings
as these —
the untrimmable light
of the world,
the ocean’s shine,
the prayers that are made
out of grass?”

If you’d like to learn more about the photos, or are interested in purchasing a print, please send me a message.
I spend most of time in Santa Fe, New Mexico (my hometown at present) but can also be found wandering around the beaches and in the woods of my “other hometown” in Skäret, Sweden.
I’d love to hear from you!
